ABOUT ME

My Approach

IMG_1620.jpeg

I have been learning and developing my knowledge throughout my career. My approach centers around assessing the body and person as a whole. Everything we have done in our lives impacts the way we move and feel today so considering this is vital. I am very hands on and will need to feel how you move to assess the whole body and determine the underlying driver of your problems.

My approach is different to “traditional” physio and so it can be particularly effective in treating recurring or unsolved problems as well as people with complex presentations. I also enjoy treating sports injuries and getting people back to their full potential. Physio can be about stopping pain but we also have a lot to offer in terms of optimising movement and performance which is something I love doing.

My treatment will be a mix of hands on manual techniques aimed at reducing pain and facilitating movement combined with exercise prescription geared towards learning good quality movement and building strength.

I am comfortable assessing and treating all neuromusculoskeletal conditions. You can read more about what I treat here. Get in touch to find out how I can help you here.

My Career

IMG_1600.jpeg

I am an MSK specialist and I love helping people achieve whatever their personal goals are. I graduated in 2010 and began my career in Manchester with a mix of NHS work and football with Manchester City Ladies before moving into private practice in London. Alongside this, I continued to work within football with Guernsey FC and also completed a post graduate qualification in ConnectTherapy™ and the Thoracic Ring Approach™ in Vancouver. I am part of a small group globally to hold this qualification and it has transformed the way I am able to help people.

In 2019, my wife and I moved to Leighton Buzzard and I began to work for the Blackberry Clinic in Milton Keynes where I became the lead practitioner, leading a large group of therapists across multiple sites. Later, Bupa Health Clinics acquired the Blackberry Clinics and I became a lead therapist for Bupa which is a role that I still hold and enjoy.

I love my clinical work and have never stopped seeing patients. It has always been an ambition to work independently so I have recently started working in Leighton Buzzard, doing my best to help people with my knowledge and experience.

My Life

I live in Leighton Buzzard with my wife and two young children. Outside of work, you will mostly find me at various kids clubs/activities but in my own time I continue to try and prolong my football career at local 11 and 7 a side teams. I am also a keen runner and have completed half marathons as well as doing some regular gym work.

I love all sport so I try and watch as much as I can and try not to let Manchester United ruin my weekends too much! Socialising with family and friends is really important to us so we do this as much as possible.
